Your Teacher

Hi!! My name is Salma. I grew up in Nigeria with my parents and sister and many pets! I've traveled a lot and met with different personalities. I've seen and been in some of the most incredible to the most terrifying situations but that made me the very cultivated and open minded person that I am today. I am very down to earth and positive. I believe that if you are not happy with yourself or something around you, you change it. No excuses. I adore being surrounded by nature and good energy. I've always been very athletic, I was head cheerleader and gymnast since I was 8 years old. I then moved to Morocco, my native country in 2013 and started surfing, I fell in love with the waves and learned very quickly. Two years later, I broke my ankle and that was the end of gymnastics. It was very hard for me mentally to not be able to do what I love the most. But when the universe takes something away from you, it gives you something better? Well, it was the beginning of my Yoga and meditation journey. And now that I have enough knowledge and experience, I want to share it with those who are interested to help them achieve a certain peace of mind, body and soul. I insist on the three because it comes in a package and if either your mental health is at stake or emotionally you're drained, you won't be completely at ease with yourself.

My background & experience

I've practiced Gymnastics for over 8 years, and after an accident, I had to stop urgently. And that's when my yoga and meditation journey started. First, it was in order to keep my core strength and flexibility and that lead to me being completely in love with this practice. My teacher was a very good friend of mine who built his life around Yoga and wellbeing and he was and still is a huge inspiration to me and encouraged me to start teaching. I now want to share my knowledge and experience with those who are willing to learn.

My classes and teaching style

I'm available from Monday to Friday, but if needed I can make exceptions on week-ends also. I am very patient and calm, I always take my time, a posture or lesson can be repeated multiple times until my students are satisfied with the results. I believe that we learn from our mistakes and theses classes that I offer are judgmental-free. It's important to fall but you should get back up. And that is for every single challenges the universe puts on your path in your daily life. I am here to help you and support you in your yoga journey. I don't only teach you but involve you deeply in what you want to learn. I want to bring my love of teaching and your love of learning together. :)
