My background & experienceMA in Conflict Studies and Human Rights from Utrecht University, the Netherlands. BA in Political Science & Sociology and Anthropology, the Hebrew University, Israel. Teaching Certificate, History, Beit Berl College, Israel. This is my third career round: I first traveled the world and connected between cultures and nations with different organizations, including the EU. In the second, I taught history in high schools and middle schools. I developed innovative study programs and participated in national committees. And in the third one - I research and teach history in a different, innovative way.
My classes and teaching styleMy classes are built on two major things: my teaching and the students' thinking. I lecture with presentions, and also ask questions, take questions, and facilitate discussions. I leave a lot of room for discussion, raising new ideas, and taking the material I teach to new horizons. Each student gets personal attention. I put emphasis on group dynamic, and we leave the lesson not only as learning individuals but as a group of learners that's having fun together. History is serious, but I don't like to take life too seriously. There's a lot of humor and fun and love going around.
