Cocktails 101- Whiskey ( Private Class)

I will be doing a hands on class showing you how to make 3 whiskey cocktails to impress your guests. We will also cover how whiskey is made, the history of whiskey and the stories behind the cocktails we make


What you'll learn

This class will give you the tools to make 3 iconic whiskey cocktails. Even if its your first time picking up a shaker, you will leave the lesson with 3 drinks in your repertoire. You will also get a masterclass into how whiskey is made and the history behind gin. 

Below you will find the the cocktails we will be making and ingredients needed to make them. All cocktails will be using a whiskey of your choice.

Cocktail 1- Old Fashioned 
Whiskey, Sugar cube or simple syrup ( Equal parts sugar and water), angostura bitters, 1 orange.
Recommended glass- Rocks or old fashioned glass 

Cocktail 2- Irish Coffee
Whiskey, brown sugar, freshly brewed coffee, heavy cream, lightly whipped
Coffee glass/ latte glass

Cocktail 3- Whiskey Sour
Whiskey, lemon juice, simple syrup, angostura bitters, 1 egg 
Recommended glass- Rocks

Cocktail 4- Mint Julep
Whiskey, Fresh Mint, Simple Syrup ( Crushed Ice is best for this)
Recommended glass- Mule mug

Cocktail 5- John Collins
Whiskey, Lemon, Simple Syrup, Soda, Orange Slice
Recommended glass- Collins glass



You will also need to have a cocktail shaker, bar spoon, Jigger, ice, strainer.

Cocktail Shaker ( Protein Shaker)
Strainer
Jigger ( Measuring cup or shot glass)
Ice cubes
Bar spoon or ( Long Spoon)
Glassware
