First part in a brief introductory class for beginners and intermediate photographers about the practice and profession of food photography.

What you'll learn

If you've ever asked yourself how they shot that? or How can I make my food photography better? This class is for you. This is part one of the class since it is an exhaustive topic. Here I will be covering how to get started in food photography and styling, gear, lighting, composition, story telling and end with the business of food photography. Class will last 1 hour. We will have a practical discussion and goal setting for your own style of food photography and can plan further classes based on particular interests.

This class is perfect for

This class is best for someone who already knows how to use their camera, however based on the learning level, it can be customised to anyone who wants to make their food images look better.

Your Teacher

[object Object]
I have been working as a freelance photographer since 2012. I have always been a photography enthusiast and enjoyed geeking out about photography. I have worked as part of photo teams and as a freelancer for companies, events and individuals shooting people, food, travel, products and special moments. I'm currently focused on food however, I enjoy all aspects of photography including teaching photography. I'm something of an opportunistic photographer, I plan for every shoot but I also make the best out of every situation and make the best out of the unexpected. I'm also a medical doctor and have many years of experience teaching undergraduate medicine.

What students need

Any camera - phone to DSLR
An editing software - snapseed to lightroom
Some food items to shoot.
Think about what you want your food images to look like.
Make a mood board by collecting images on pinterest/unsplash and we can work on your goals based on that.

I had a great class with Pradeep. He was patient with me, let me ask questions and walked me through some great tips and ideas. I will definitely take another class from him.

I loved the class by Pradeep ! Food photography is not unattainable if you know the important things and Pradeep highlighted them very well . One can easily get started with whatever gear you have after this class. Even if you are an experienced photographer his tips make a lot of sense. I'm definitely hooking the second part of this session!
