This 20-minute interactive workshop will introduce students to concepts covered in the Options 101 Workshop, where students may learn the fundamentals of stocks and options, exploring the utility of calls and puts as individual trade strategies or as a complement to existing investments. We will discuss basic definitions of options, how to navigate an options chain, rights and obligations of long options versus short options, and answer any questions you may have about other courses. I have a long background in education. I understand how difficult and intimidating it can be to learn options, and I have carefully developed explanations to help make options easy for anyone to understand. Test the waters, get to know your tutor and get a feel for what is offered in course. Topics we will cover • Mechanics of calls and puts • Paper trading • Review my trades, positions, favorite strategies • Selecting a retail broker that fits your preferences By the end of the full workshop, participants may be able to confidently understand what it means to trade options from (1) reading option quotes from an options chain, to (2) establishing option positions in a portfolio, and (3) option value relative to stock price, time value, volatility and other forces.
