Simple Indian Meal: Kadhi Chawal/Curd Curry &Rice

Making curd curry with rice. We will make it more interesting by adding onion fritters.

What you'll learn

Kadhi Chawal is a quick dish to make so if you are in a hurry this is the way to go. It can be modified to include something different if you do not want to include fritters. It can be eaten with roti or rice. It does not have too many ingredients but how you put these spices in the curry makes the huge difference in the flavor.

Instead of pakoras, I have also tried with cooked onions. The basic curry portion is the same and the addition is based on your preference.

This class is perfect for

People who want to learn a new dish and of a different country.

I have been cooking for over 20 years. My mother and grandmother have taught me a lot. I have also incorporated my husband's family cooking style. I then found my tricks to bring some mix and make it easier and fun. I don't like bland food or want to be in the kitchen all day especially with work, kids, and other errands that need to be run. This has allowed me to do a lot of experiments and to also see how I can use more variety of vegetables.
