Enjoy as you learn how to play chess. Group online chess lessons are the best way to improve chess skills. This live lesson has a maximum of 3 students at a time. There will be time to play practice games against each other every class.

What you'll learn

We will learn new chess concepts every class and I will give some time to my students to play at the end of the lesson! Playing against others is the best way to learn chess online.

At the end of every class, I will give students homework that will help them learn how to play chess. Homework will include brain exercises, puzzles, and challenges to improve chess skills.

If you’ve been here before, we will start the online chess lessons with the correction of the homework I gave in the last session.
Throughout the online chess lesson, you will be able to ask any and all questions. This is an interactive class, questions are how we learn chess online. I will answer every question you have so don't be shy!
During the lesson, I will teach new must-know concepts. At the end of the session, students play and practice what they learned.

Why group lessons?

Chess players improving their skill level start to feel stagnant after a while. Reading books and working on tactics/endgames helps but only up to a point. By practicing in a group setting students of chess are able to take their skill to the next level. If you want to learn how to play chess, online chess lessons offer the opportunity to learn from other players as you grow.

Since the start of COVID our lives have changed. We have less opportunity to come together as a community. Online chess lessons are a great way to come back together during this weird time.
Learning chess online means joining the chess community in ways that were not possible before.
People who would have never met each other before can now share knowledge, practice playing, and learn chess together!

As you grow and learn how to play chess you'll want to see other people's playing styles. There is no one proper way to win a chess game. Chess winners can win in an endless amount of ways. One of the best benefits of group online chess classes is the opportunity to study the playing style of others. This will help you understand all chess skill levels.

To be the best chess player you can be, and learn how to play chess you must learn from everyone, not limited to teachers. As a teacher, I can provide the knowledge and tips that will teach you how to play. It's through practice and studying real games that the beginner will become an expert.

When I was younger, I enrolled in every chess lesson my school offered. I quickly classed in the top 3 of Quebec and Canada (number 1 in the last two years I played). I competed until the under 16 age category, where I stopped playing. I now love to share my knowledge of this amazing game! I've been teaching chess for almost 3 years now. I've taught in elementary schools, high schools, clubs, libraries, and in private lessons. I also have experience with tutoring, teaching french, and animation. Can't wait to meet you in class!
