This Yin Yoga & Guided Meditation class is the perfect practice to release anxiety, rebalance the nervous system, invite calmness and stillness into the mind, surrender to what is and go within

What you'll learn

Yin Yoga is a passive, meditative, slow-paced style of Yoga. In the 30-minute class, we'll practice restorative floor-based stretches, typically held for between 2-5 minutes. 
Because the postures are held for a long period of time, breath awareness and mindfulness are large parts of Yin Yoga. As you hold the postures I will guide you through meditation, mindfulness and breathwork practices.

Physically, by holding the postures for this length we are able to access the deep connective tissue, targeting the fascia, tendons, and ligaments.

Energetically, Yin Yoga improves the flow of energy (or chi) in the body. This helps to release blockages or stagnation in the meridian lines (energy centers taught in Chinese Medicine).

Meet Gemma Clarke,

Your teacher

I have been practising yoga since 2014 and completed my 200hr Yoga Alliance Teaching Training in early 2018. Since then, I have taught yoga and meditation in Thailand, Cambodia, the UK. I now teach online to students worldwide, including to hundreds of people through the popular app Insight Timer. Aside from my initial Hatha/Vinyasa teacher training, I have completed teacher training courses in Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Thai Yoga Massage. I have also attended countless workshops and spent time meditating with monks here in Thailand.
