Thanksgiving Turkey Craft
What you'll learn
Do you want to have something cute, handmade by your children for Thanksgiving? If yes, this is for you! In this class, we will be making turkeys with different colored cardboard. We will chat about what we are thankful for and write these things on the "feathers". Parents are welcome to join in with their children.
This class is perfect for
This class if perfect for young children who want to make a cute wall decoration for Thanksgiving.
I have been teaching for over ten years. Nine of those were spent teaching young students whose native language was not English. I developed a passion and love for teaching English as a second language. It is so rewarding to see a student have that lightbulb moment where they grasp what you are teaching them! I have a bachelor's degree in education as well as having completed a TEFL certification. In addition to these, I have completed a variety of workshops on how to assist students with different barriers to learning. I don't think that a teacher can ever stop learning how to better teach his or her students.
What to bring
Students will need to bring:
At least 5 pieces of white cardboard or paper
Coloured pencils, paint, markers (whatever you have at home)
Googly eyes (if you want, otherwise your child can draw the eyes)
You are more than welcome to bring cardboard in different colours to use instead of having your child colour in the turkey.
