Ever wanted to organise a beach clean and didn’t know how to do it? Are you fed up of trying to have a relaxing walk and there’s plastic everywhere? Well in this class, I’ll show you how to host and organise your very own beach clean! The turtles will thank you! In this class you’ll learn: How and who to contact to get permission to host a clean The difference between harmful waste and no harmful waste Where to put the rubbish How to get equipment and what you’ll need What waste affects different species How to fill in a risk assessment form Where plastic pollution comes from But don’t worry you’ll all be given a ‘beach clean to do list’ so you know exactly what you’re doing. So this class is for UK only.
This class is perfect for
Anyone wanting to host a beach clean and not sure exactly how to do it.
My Summer Clarke, I started my podcast The Crystalline Podcast in 2017, I wanted to share my ‘mess’ and turn into my message, it’s now something I’m super passionate about. I used to feel like I wasn't good enough and let anxiety limit me and hold me back from what I was meant to be doing. I’ve learnt everything on my journey and I've invested in learning everything I can to help others. It’s now my mission with The Crystalline Podcast to encourage people to find value in what makes them unique and I've taken it one step further with teaching. I have a L3ND in Countryside Management (Marine Biology and Ecology). I continue to educate myself on the subjects that fascinate me and represent my area with an environmental charity called Surfers Against Sewage which evolves a lot of community work and education regarding plastic pollution and sustainability. With Surfers Against Sewage we put on oceans schools to educate the younger generation about plastic in the environment, climate change and how they can make a difference. And lastly, I come from a family of dressmakers. It's been my hobby since I was a child to sew. I've now turned this hobby into a small business and I aim to set up a few sewing classes on Amphy.
