What you'll learn
Are you serious about your personal development? Is there a big, scary change that you have wanted to make , but it’s just never the ‘right time’? Do you want to break (or build!) a habit, but can't seem to get it to stick? _______________________________________________________________ If you answered yes to any of the above, then this in-depth course is for you. Over the course of 12 sessions, we are going to: Assess what’s working well and what needs to be changed Set goals Identify the stories that we tell ourselves Poke holes in the stories that hold us back Revisit our goals (because it’s hard to know what we really want at first) Create a strong mindset Create a roadmap and toolbox to help you make big changes and live life according to your own rules What will the lessons be like? Every lesson will have a different guiding theme. Some time will be dedicated to each of the following: education, self-reflection, group sharing/brainstorming/problem solving, and learning or practicing a ‘tool’ (journaling, meditation, breathwork, movement, thought reframing, questioning). You can find the themes of each lesson below: Lesson 1 - Life Assessment Lesson 2 - Initial Goal-Setting Lesson 3 - Growth mindset vs fixed mindset Lesson 4 - Self-Love → cheesy, but oh, so important Lesson 5 - Story time! → uncover the stories that live in your mind Lesson 6 - How poke holes (part 1) - start questioning your unhelpful stories Lesson 7 - How to poke holes (part 2) - continued deconstruction of old beliefs Lesson 8 - Write a new story (one that is helpful!) Lesson 9 - Revisit and revise initial goals Lesson 10 - Mindset part 2 Lesson 11 - Build your roadmap Lesson 12 - Pulling it all together, final thoughts,solidify plan for the future What is the time commitment? 2 hours every 2 weeks for our sessions together In the past students reported spending 1-2 hours on ‘homework’ per week outside of our sessions. In addition to that, it might be helpful to carve out 10-15 minutes per day to practice the tools we talk about in our sessions How many people will be in this course? ***PLEASE NOTE: There are limited spots available for this course*** There will be a maximum of 8 people in this course. The limited number of participants is to allow us to get to know each other and also to make sure that everyone has sufficient support and attention. The primary objective of this course is to help you make important changes and small group settings are the ideal environment to support you with this. _______________________________________________________________ This course asks a lot of you, but it will give you a lot as well. I started teaching in 2010 and have taught all ages and in all settings. I have taught high school, one-on-one English classes, small group classes, and for the past 5 years, I have been teaching online.
My natural curiosity and love of learning led me to the field of coaching where I developed new skills in helping my students build true confidence in their speaking ability and life in general.
