Summer time is here, and what's better for dinner than a light but filling meal that put vegetables in the spotlight they deserve? In this class you'll learn to make a Sensational Salad, chef Edie's favorite Summer meal.

What you'll learn

This is a private hands-on class! So you'll be the only student and can ask chef Edie all the questions you have! 

Sensational Salads are filling meals that tickle all your senses. They're colorful, tasty and easily adaptable to various dietary restrictions like gluten and dairy free or even made vegetarian and vegan. Also, they can be eaten immediately while still warm(-ish) or saved for lunch/dinner later in the day. 
In this class you will be taught how to make them from scratch, using common ingredients. You can pick from a few examples, and learn to make a Sensational Salad the way you like them. 

Class is open for all dietary preferences. 

In her cooking classes, chef Edie loves to explain what happens in your pots and pans. We will discuss the cooking technique(s) we're using, and how you can switch up recipes with ingredients you have in your pantry. All just to empower you to get a bit looser with recipes so you can come a more confident and creative cook.

Meet Edie Dourleijn,

Your teacher

Chef Edie was one of the first food bloggers of the Netherlands, attended culinary school to spice up her cooking and to learn all is possible. Then she taught curious home cooks like she was all the fun and interesting things she had learned. After moving to California, she started her company creative cook co to mentor people looking for a lifestyle change, spending more time in the kitchen and encouraging home cooks to become free of recipes. Chef Edie loves cooking with vegetables, and gets her inspiration from all over the world, the Mediterranean area in particular. She is a curious omnivore and hates to waste food.

a few small bowls to collect prepared ingredients
a nice bowl or large plate for serving
