I will be your guide and take you from your point A, whatever it might be, to your desired point B in piano playing with a thoughtfully structured and effective plan, and clear tasks.

What you'll learn

We will first determine your level: if you are a complete beginner, a beginner with some experience, intermediate or advanced piano player. Then we will talk about your goals for piano playing. If you only have a vague idea about what you want, that's ok too, and we will work on creating a specific short-term and long-term goal for you.

I will create a plan for you based on those two points and your preferred style and desired repertoire taking also your schedule and the amount of time you have for piano practice into consideration.

What sets aside my classes is structure and consideration for your individual path. I am serious about finding a clear vision for you and backing it up with a real plan and clear tasks for you to follow and I am familiar with a broad specter of repertoire in all kinds of different styles and ways to approach piano learning. I don't stick by a book and have a very individual approach to all of my students, so while some enjoy playing only pieces by Beethoven and Bach, others like learning chords with pop songs and playing by ear. I absolutely support all of my students' preferences and enjoy

Meet Danica Dujakovic,

Your teacher

My favorite experiences in music are: playing solo recitals, playing in ensembles, traveling for concerts and competitions, practicing with other musicians, getting to the point of being able to play whatever I want, from classical to pop, rock and jazz, singing and playing for myself and friends and finally: passing my knowledge on. The best part of teaching for me is when I see students light up after discovering they can do something they previously never thought they could. Music has made my life so much richer and I hope it will have a similar role in your life as well. :)

What to bring

A piano/keyboard, phone, or laptop camera. If you are using your phone, I recommend getting a tripod to hold it in place. The angle should be such that I can see your hands and most of you and the piano keyboard. The camera can be to your left or right and should be somewhere at the level above your head, pointed downwards.
The apps we can use: Skype, WhatsApp, Discord, Google meet, Google duo, etc.
You don't need books for the trial lesson. We will talk and determine your level first and then I will think about what would be the best book for you. I will send you the materials you need and recommend books for buying if you are interested.
