Business English - Negotiate. Listen to Be Heard.
What you'll learn
Since listening is so vital to being able to negotiate effectively, and English speakers (especially in Britain) use nuanced language, I focus on helping learners to develop listening skills, as well as to understand and practise nuanced speech. Students will gain a lexicon of managerial vocabulary, common negotiation expressions and “power” words. Actual negotiation techniques are covered, too. Plenty of real-life scenarios are provided for role-play where you can play both sides of the table, gain exposure to nuanced speech and practise pronunciation. As with all my courses, we'll be using as many real-life scenarios and materials as possible.
This class is perfect for
Native English speakers as well as B1 level learners (and beyond) who aspire to work in management in an English-speaking environment.
I grew up in England and live near Vancouver on Canada's west coast.
I have held key positions at HarperCollins, Sun Life and Intralock Tools.
Having tasted the joys of working from home, I happily teach students from around the world online.
